After yesterdays forza horizon 2 demo release I'm fully hopeful. Many things were done right in the release of forza horizon 2 judging from the demo I saw. After taking about 4 hours to install, which idk why the things was only 10 gigs but my internet isnt the best either, I began my entry. The opening cinematic was the first thing that got my eye. The game sounded as though it was trying to hypnotize you into its brilliance. I don't know what to say but let me try to gather my thoughts as I type this out. If it were a contest between the FH1 and FH2 cinematic I have to say that FH1 was a bit better for me time BUT I don't dislike the FH2 cinematic. It was suiting for what it was trying to do and I did appreciate it because it was like forza 4's cinematic. The FH1 cinematic took place in an actual car show where we'd see all the beauty that we may expect in forza horizon 1. But in horizon 2 they took a different approach by showing different elements not sticking to one main concept yet they were still trying to show what was expected of this game. The game showed new elements. It showed vast locations, off road driving, some stellar driving and a new place where drivers like me can call a decent scene. After that the game begins to show its graphics and that's when things really start to shine. The graphics are amazing. I almost felt like I was racing in southern Europe tackling those streets head on. Immediately I was part of the scene since the first race in the demo was to deliver cars to the horizon festival for the auto show. Of course I rode with the many drivatars (or at least I presume they are I don't know if they are actually AI or based on the drivatar system thats just my lack of knowledge) while I was given the task of delivering the beautiful Lamborghini Hurracan to thee horizon festival. Different from the first game as this was no race just driving with what felt like was among the elite drivers. Apparently it sounded like I was already granted a slot in the horizon heats don't know how that happened maybe the full game will explain. After I, along with the other drivers, arrived at the festival, I was granted a selection of 3 cars to choose from and I was excited. The choices were the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo GSR, They audi RS3 sportback and the Browler. I chose the evo and let me tell you it was a heck of a ride. Even forza 5 couldn't give me this much excitement. I immediately went joy riding but that was without realizing that I hit a horizon speed mark. I should perhaps mention the area of the demo. Some may argue that the demo is smaller than forza horizon 1 but there is much more to explore. Much more off-roading brought into this game and let me just say I never enjoyed that much off-road till now. I even went off roading in a lambo a few times in the races HOW COULD I RESIST THE OPPORTUNITY! There were 2 races in the championship one was in the day time the other was in the rain, giving me the opportunity to see the big difference in physics. It was well done even my car which had traction but no stability control slid in the turns but it wasn't uncontrollable. One race that stood out to me was the showcase event involving the lambo and jets. There was another concept I got to experience which was the bucket list which is just a set of challenges all across southern europe. This one involved beating a 125mph speed trap in a koenigsegg agera. Seems easy but that was after I went off roading with it in a foolish attempt to keep a straight line to the speed trap but regardless its easy to do. Discount signs as well as XP signs are also available as they are hidden all throughout southern europe. The main thing i wanted to confirm as I couldn't believe it myself was that tuning has come to horizon although I didn't mess with it for 2 reasons 1) I just wanted to drive the crap out of the evo and 2) the only thing that was able to be tuned was tire pressure which I was hoping to get more but hey its a demo can't have it all. After you did all the races and complete the demo you have the option to access an online cruise session. It was nothing to boast of with one thing...THE WAITING TIME VASTLY IMPROVED FROM FORZA 5! It certainly stood out I was so happy to see this. Do I think this can beat forza 5...yes but hear me out. I know the horizon series is completely different from the motorsport series thus its like judging NFS prostreet with midnight club but there were just so many improvements done onto this game that FM5 persisted with. Now Im only judging based upon feature here. FM5 is still a good game for the serious hardcore driver such as myself and for the record it still is but forza horizon 2 combined arcade elements with considering the hardcore driver by including tuning. Its says "hey I know you wanted me in the last horizon but guess what Im here now" it begs for the car to feel like its actually yours and that's one of the big things I love in racing games, turning any ordinary car into a great machine that I can truly call my own and just another average car with bolt-on parts. With FH1 tuning wasn't involved but for a good reason and its because not all upgraded cars you see on the streets are tuned plus why would you need to edit the gears on a daily driver? But in fh2 the option is there to make that car truly yours and to show up all the posers on the street. Again Im not judging FM5 and FH2 as games of different series here Im judging on them as 2 different games without relation even though they are related. In FH2 you can still see there's arcade style in there but its not necessarily a bad thing in this case because it works. I guess Im being bold in judging FM5 and FH2 in this way but lets face it someone will eventually. FH2 has more elements, more to explore and much more to do thus making the replay value skyrocket where as FM5, all be it a straight up hardcore driving simulator, lacks some of these things. FH2 is surely worth it and Im glad to have preoredered my day one edition as soon as e3 hit because it'll be more catering to those who enjoy daily racing, underground meets, car shows and much more and in a more realistic setting. Not on the top gear full mile circuit but in a nice parking lot somewhere in the hills where people can still go nuts about their cars. I looks forward to posting videos on my channel this friday about the demo and if I can I will try to include vocal reactions as I play using the xbox one upload studio. This game is worth it guys. It really is.
Thank You All For Visiting. It's Been A Pleasure
Hey everyone. I know this probably isn't what you all expected to see from me as my next post but it is true. I won't be making anymore deviantart content. I know this may come as a shock to some of you but I don't have the time anymore to keep making content for these pages. Truth be told I've ran out of gas, if I had more to give I would but I don't. I have to start focusing on my future and my new career. I can't keep making content as I once did. I wish it didn't have to end. That I could give you all so much more than I have but it's time for me to start looking out for myself. It's been a long 10 years and I am grateful for the friends I've made and the memories shared. But it's time to say my farewell. I'll still visit DA from time to time I still enjoy it here and who knows, maybe my future child will take over. I only ask if that happens, that they preserve what has already been posted as part of what this page was. My final deviation has been posted but you can all see my
